I’m having terrible trouble with a Sanyo M-G7SP Walkman. I’ve replaced both belts and the pinch roller, and it’s still chewing tapes. Only one of the spindles rotates (this is by design).
I don’t know what else to do with it. Anyone?
When you say only one of the spindles rotates, do you mean only one is powered and the other idles, or that it’s fixed solid?
My guess would be either some grease has dried causing something to not turn as effectively/efficiently as required or something that’s supposed to be acting as a clutch having worn and isn’t providing the tension that’s expected.
