I was at this online event last night, hosted by groups in the USA. Lots of interesting chat. Good to see lots of common topics and issues. I will be sharing links to recordings of key relevant sessions once they’re available.

I’ll be back again for Day 2 this evening. One session I’m not available for is The Great Debate: To Microwave or Not to Microwave (Repair them, that is)? That is the Question!

Description as follows: “Many groups refuse microwaves at repair events… but some fixers are making a case for allowing them. The floor is open - make your case!”

I’ve repaired a microwave with @Alex before, but outside of the repair hub (though that was more because of an existing friendship than anything else). I think like everything else, it depends very much on what repair seems to be needed. In our case the controller had blown. We were able to source a second hand replacement on eBay and got it back up and running.
