@martyn Iām guessing this will be fiddly?
@mcFisher Does the screen stay black or is clearly damaged when turned on, or does the screen show up ok and just the touch element of the screen thatās broken?
@martyn Iāve just heard from lily.. the screen lights up and works fine, its just a bit risky because of the broken glass pieces!
In that case, we might be able to replace just the front glass. Iāll have to take a look into that.
Relacing the glass alone looks like a way more complicated procedure and the videos I skimmed on YouTube seemed to be using some fairly specific equipment. The price between the glass/touch panel (~Ā£20) and a complete screen assembly (~Ā£30) doesnāt really justify the extra effort to be honest.
I think it might be worth getting some proper glue rather than the tape I have - apparently the glue is far more effective.

If the screen is OK, we could give replacing just the digitiser, but that would be a more complicated operation, but the digitiser on itās own is about half the price:
